5 local Marriott reach New Deal
Hotel Workers Union Local 5, has reached a provisional contract of more than 550 employees in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Hotel, Kalakaua Avenue, the hotel in harmony with others in the region.
The three-year contract, which must be ratified, includes $ 1.60 per hour nontipped wage increase for workers over three years. Budgets see their salaries increase to $ 14.37 per hour from € 12.77.
Until the end of the contract, workers receive a pension of $ 1 per hour contribution, as well as $ 3.20 per hour contribution to health care. The contract also includes heavy workload of the language, and said that restaurants and bars can not be eliminated.
The previous contract expired in March and was being negotiated.
